About Us
I first got into 3D printing in high school and was blown away by how it could turn ideas into reality. Like many beginners, I started printing models I found online, but before long, I was designing my own. That’s when 3D printing became more than a hobby.
Fast-forward to my sophomore year at H.P.U. I was going to the airport with my dad when we started discussing what I could do next with my 3D printing skills. He knew how much time I’d put into it and suggested I create products for the High Point Spirit Store. At first, I thought it was a cool idea, but I didn’t take it too seriously.
Towards the end of my sophomore year, I started to see the potential in the idea and decided to pursue it. After meeting with High Point University President Dr. Nido Qubein, he introduced me to the university’s branding and merchandising team. Over the next few months, we worked together to develop a line of High Point University-branded 3D-printed products, now available on our website and coming soon to the High Point Spirit Store.
This experience has been incredible for growing Shapix 3D and everything I’ve learned. I’ve gained hands-on experience in licensing, packaging, and branding, and it even inspired me to take a marketing course to understand better how to grow a business. Shapix 3D has been an exciting journey, and I’m thrilled to see where it goes next!
